Welcome
The role of arthropod vectors and/or parasites is increasingly recognized by the scientific community and the general public.
These arthropods infect all vertebrate animals including human being, therefore veterinarians play a key role in the diagnosis of parasitic and vector-borne diseases, the implementation of preventive measures and treatment and counselling they provide.
This website aims to recall the recent knowledge of vectors and vector-borne diseases but more importantly it provides a climate model developed with a start-up resulting from CNRS - Paris VI that shows the risk of infestation by ticks and fleas and an estimate of the density of these parasites.
